Elkins

The Tigers continued their upward trajectory in 2025, winning their most games in over a decade and returning to the postseason once again.
A powerful rushing attack fueled much of that success and should remain a strength. Running backs Seth Robinson and Jaden Hatfield return behind blockers Owen Stanley and Devin Hulver, giving Elkins one of the more established ground games in the classification.
The toughest portion of the schedule includes showdowns with Philip Barbour, North Marion, and Fairmont Senior.
Hampshire
2025 Record: 6-4

The Trojans reached the postseason for the second consecutive season in 2025, marking only the second time in more than two decades that Hampshire has accomplished the feat. Now, the goal is to make it three straight appearances and continue elevating the program.
That effort will begin with one of the most explosive athletes in the classification, running back Roscoe Dean, whose speed gives Hampshire a game-changing threat every time he touches the football. Quarterback Mason Chenoweth also returns to provide stability and leadership to the offense.
Many of Hampshire’s most important contests come during the middle of the season. Matchups against Moorefield, Keyser, and Northern Garrett (MD) will carry major playoff implications before a critical closing stretch against Washington and Oak Glen.
Keyser

The Golden Tornado enjoyed their best season in half a decade, winning seven of eight games during a remarkable stretch that propelled them into the postseason. They capped the year by scoring 31 points in their opening-round playoff appearance, signaling a return to relevance for one of the state’s most recognizable programs.
Keyser enters 2026 with plenty of optimism thanks to the return of quarterback Addison Brafford and dynamic playmaker Dominik Crawford, who gives the offense a legitimate home-run threat every time he touches the ball.
The Golden Tornado will be favored in much of their schedule, but their toughest tests arrive in the final month. Showdowns against Allegany (MD), Mountain Ridge (MD), and rival Frankfort could ultimately determine the ceiling of their season.
