More than half of West Virginia’s high school football programs were represented at the 2026 West Virginia Prep Football Showcase, with several schools bringing multiple prospects who delivered standout performances across testing and competition. Below is a class-by-class breakdown of programs that made the strongest impressions.
Class 4A
Martinsburg
Martinsburg was well-represented and productive across multiple position groups. Kingston McDonald-Gibson emerged as one of the top running backs in attendance. Brian Dick impressed both in testing and throwing sessions. Additional contributors included Noah Hockman (OL), Zane Wipf (WR/DB), and Kolby Walker (WR/DB), all of whom were consistently highlighted by coaches.
Huntington
Huntington delivered a balanced group performance. Donte Newsome stood out as one of the top wide receivers on the day. In the trenches, Tyler Avery, Jeremiah Lyles, Xavier Smailes, Collin Gadd, and Tommy Conner all earned positive evaluations.
Morgantown
On their home field, Morgantown matched expectations. Top prospects Maddox Twigg and Brooks King performed at a high level, while Aidan Petsko (specialist) was also a standout. The group also featured strong testing performances from Brier Archer, Collin Andis, and Peyton Nicola.
Class 3A
Bridgeport
Bridgeport showed depth across multiple groups. Gavin Williams combined a strong punting performance with some of the top testing numbers among running backs. Brody Jeran demonstrated versatility with solid results across positions and drills.
Fairmont Senior
Fairmont Senior produced contributors across the board. Anthony Smith had a strong day throwing, while Parker Bigelow stood out at linebacker. Tyson White and Cooper Keener competed well in the line group. Rudy Carrillo delivered one of the most impressive performances of the event, posting elite testing numbers for the second consecutive year.
South Charleston
South Charleston reinforced its status as a top program. David Hill and Ceno Riley led the group with strong testing results. Tramel Musgrove was the top 2029 prospect in attendance, while Trevaun Tyson and Miles Terry each earned offers following their performances.
Princeton
Princeton continued to show staying power as a program. Jake Belcher recorded one of the top overall athletic performances at the event. Alex Cox stood out early as a top running back. Colby Justus posted strong numbers among linemen, and Carter Tipton was a notable presence at long snapper.
Class 2A
Independence
Independence saw production across multiple groups. Brock Green and Isaiah Conley met expectations with strong showings. Along the line, Jaidyn Shuck, Charles Acord, and Harrison Smith stood out in competitive drills.
Moorefield
Moorefield featured several high-level performers. Matthew Iman and Cyrus Kump ranked among the top overall athletes in testing. Levi Davis led all specialists in kickoff performance.
Doddridge County
Doddridge County brought a small group but made an impact. Lyric Blake stood out among skill players, while Jacob Britton performed well in the line group.
Williamstown
Williamstown maximized a limited group. Breck Allen impressed on the offensive side, while Christian Hoosier posted the top overall athleticism score at the event.
Class 1A
Wheeling Central
Wheeling Central brought two athletes, both of whom delivered. Nico Kusic recorded one of the top athleticism scores overall, and Clayton Petry was among the top specialist performers.
Wahama
Wahama produced multiple high-end testers. Treyvon Bearhs and Trace Simpkins both ranked among the top percentile in athletic testing.
Sherman
Sherman did not bring its full roster but still generated results. Eli Pauley paired solid testing with strong competitive reps. Parker Platt and Danny Cabell also turned in strong performances.
