Specialist Showcase Overview
The specialist group once again delivered one of the more technically impressive performances of the showcase. Between kickers, punters, and long snappers, the event featured several athletes with verified college-level tools and measurable production. From elite leg strength and hang time to consistent snap speeds and accuracy, this year’s specialists showcased both raw talent and refined mechanics across every phase of special teams work.
Top Performers

David Summers — Martinsburg (2028) | LS
Top overall snapper in both groups. Averaged a blistering .398 snap speed on field goal reps and .776 on punt snaps while maintaining strong overall consistency and placement.

Clay Petry — Wheeling Central (2027)
Top punter of the day based on charting metrics. Consistently produced excellent hang times well over four seconds while maintaining strong distance. Also performed well during field goal and kickoff sessions.

Andrew Bean — Martinsburg (2028)
Rapidly climbing the rankings after a standout showcase. Finished first in field goals and was the only specialist to go 100% on the day. Also turned in quality work during punting and kickoff drills.

Levi Davis — Moorefield (2027)
Another major breakout following a strong Summit showing. Possessed the biggest leg at the event, averaging over 60 yards on kickoffs with elite height and carry. Finished second in field goals at 4-for-5.

Gavin Williams — Bridgeport (2027)
After posting a sub-4.5 40-yard dash earlier in the event, focused solely on punting and excelled. Finished among the leaders in both average punt distance and hang time.

Ayden Thorne — Philip Barbour (2029)
Outstanding performance from a rising sophomore. Finished second overall in kickoffs with an average distance of 59 yards, showing advanced leg strength for his age.
Great Showings

Knox Kimble — Frankfort (2028) | LS
Followed up a strong Summit performance with another excellent outing. Delivered quality snap speeds paired with impressive accuracy throughout the session.

Ashton McClanahan — Chapmanville (2028)
Another highly productive day. Showed elite leg strength with the best average punt distance at the event while also grading well in the remaining specialist drills.

Aidan Petsko — Morgantown (2027)
Strong field goal performance, finishing 4-for-5 while also placing among the top kickoff performers on the day.

Jaxin Alexander — Winfield (2027)
Continues trending upward as a specialist prospect. Averaged 57 yards on kickoffs and paired it with one of the top field goal percentages in attendance.

Dyer Barger — Elkins (2028)
Continues to improve with each evaluation. Had a productive field goal session, including the longest made kick of the day, while also finishing near the top in kickoffs.
Keep An Eye On

Carter Tipton — Princeton (2027) | LS
Very solid overall performance. Physically developed long snapper with sub-.39 field goal snap times and strong accuracy scores.

Zach McQuain — Braxton County (2028)
Continues climbing recruiting boards. Displayed good leg strength with productive kickoff work and steady field goal consistency.

Ben Smith — Fairmont Senior (2028)
Another productive showcase appearance. Posted elite punt hang times and showed steady work across the remaining specialist drills.

Paxton Bocook — Hurricane (2029)
Young kicker with a bright future. Displayed strong accuracy and continues to develop additional leg strength.

Freddie Pascoe — Sissonville (2027)
Solid field goal session with flashes of upside during kickoff work as well.

Eli Taft — Riverside (2027)
Reliable day overall. Consistently hit his marks and was highly accurate within automatic field goal range.
Noteworthy
Mason Janney (Martinsburg 2027), Aiden Snyder (Buckhannon-Upshur 2028), and TJ Pritt (Clay County 2027) each had positive moments throughout the showcase and remain specialists worth monitoring moving forward.
