The running back group once again proved to be one of the most electric units at the showcase. The position consistently produces elite testing numbers, but evaluation extends well beyond measurables. This group had ample opportunity to display fluidity, vision, and positional skill through drills and competition—and the 2026 class delivered across the board.
Test-Out Standouts

Treyvon Bearhs — Wahama (2027)
Put together another elite performance for the second consecutive year. Recorded a 4.48 40-yard dash and a 9’7” broad jump, earning the top overall RB athleticism score. Also remains a notable defensive back prospect, reinforcing his versatility.

Roscoe Dean — Hampshire (2027)
Back-to-back years as a top testing performer. Posted elite numbers with a 4.48 40 and 9’3” broad jump, continuing to establish himself as one of the more explosive athletes in the group.

Jaden Hatfield — Elkins (2027)
Turned performance into opportunity, earning scholarship offers at the camp. Ran a 4.53 40 and carries a well-developed, muscular frame that translates to on-field power and speed.

Kingston McDonald-Gibson — Martinsburg (2027)
Entered as an expected top performer and delivered. Posted a 4.51 40 and 9’4” broad jump while standing out for his fluidity and control throughout drills.

Gavin Williams — Bridgeport (2027)
Physically impressive build paired with strong all-around performance. Ran a 4.49 40 and recorded a 9’2” broad jump. Also showed value as a punter, adding to overall versatility.

Gage Burdette — Woodrow Wilson (2028)
Top-performing 2028 running back. Showcased high-end explosiveness with a 9’5” broad jump and 4.56 40. Consistently flashed ability throughout the day.
Big Days

Brier Archer — Morgantown (2028)
Came in under the radar and left as one of the top competitors. Posted a 4.59 40, 4.44 shuttle, and 9’2” broad jump while competing at a high level throughout.

Alex Cox — Princeton (2028)
Most agile running back in attendance, highlighted by a 4.31 shuttle and sub-4.6 40. Change-of-direction ability clearly translated in positional work.

Logan Payne — (2028)
Also projects at linebacker with excellent size. Ran sub-4.6 in the 40 and matched it with a 4.31 shuttle, showing a rare combination of size and movement skills.

Phillip Shields — Washington (2027)
One of the more naturally explosive runners on the day. Consistently performed well across testing categories and carried that into drills and competition.

Lyric Blake — Doddridge County (2028)
Solid testing numbers, but stood out more during live reps. Showed natural running ability, instincts, and competitiveness in drills and competition settings.
Dual Position Value

Ian Brown — Lewis County (2027)
Recorded one of the top shuttle times at 4.28, a number that clearly translates to his defensive back play. Brings value on both sides of the ball.

Noah Reed — Spring Mills (2029)
Projects primarily as a linebacker, but size and speed combination make him a viable offensive contributor as well.

Collin Andis — Morgantown (2027)
Another linebacker-leaning prospect who posted strong testing numbers that translate effectively to running back situations.

Connor Rice — Lincoln (2027)
Well-rounded athlete with consistent numbers across all testing categories. Projects as a two-way contributor.

Colson Kinser — Hampshire (2027)
Strong broad jump performance highlights lower-body explosiveness. Has tools to contribute at both running back and linebacker.

Sawyer Dalton — Chapmanville (2028)
Put together a strong overall day. Primarily projects as a linebacker but possesses a skillset that translates to running back.

Seth Robinson — Elkins (2027)
Recorded an impressive 40-yard dash for a larger-framed athlete. Presents a physical presence both as a runner and pass rusher.

Additional names that drew attention from coaches included Christopher Williams (Hedgesville 2027), Dominik Crawford (Keyser 2027), Javon Letourneau (Roane County 2027), Brian Poindexter (North Marion 2027), Isaac Barksdale (Fairmont Senior 2027), Georgie Mamakos (Linsly 2027), and Takye Porter (Herbert Hoover 2027), all of whom showed flashes throughout the day and remain worth tracking moving forward.
